Camp Rocked Hellooooo, gonna blog about camp :) Tuesday The day we arrived in Batam. We got assigned to our tents and stuff. After that we played some ice breakers and broke off into our teams to play the water activities. Kayaking is awesome :D I thought i would capsize but i didn't (: After that we did rafting and then went for lunch. Lunch was YUCKY. After lunch, we continued with the water activities. We did the ping pong thing. And omigosh after that was like super duper fun cos my group(purple) we went to play in the sea. We were like the only group playing in the water. It was the most fun i've ever had. The guys kept on splashing water at the girls and the salt water was like burning our eyes. And zin oo and afiz got cut by the corals and shells. Then the guys decided to dump people from the other groups into the water. Some of them are Syafiq, Mugesh, Eldon and etc. LOL :D I LOVE the purple group ttm :) After that we had the kayaking race and tug-of-war. Sze Dao and Afiz kept on capsizing and Sze Dao lost his specs. At the end of the day, showered and had dinner which was yet again yucky :} We had to do this stupid worksheet afterwards. Eh hello, it's a CD camp not an educational camp. Lights off. Zzzzzzzz. Wednesday CIP and jungle trekking. For CIP we visited the orphanage. The kids there are really friendly...some of them are our age and some of them are like maybe 5 or 6. They thought us how to play the kompang. I thought is was damn cool. We were also served food which was like a hundred times better than the camp food. Then we were off to the mini zoo place for our lunch and the jungle trekking. Lunch wasn't that bad but i preferred the food that i ate at the orphanage (: And then we went trekking at Mata Kuching (spl?). Trekking was awesome, but quite scary. Especially when we had to climb up the extremely steep slope or go down the slope. The Burma Bridge was both fun and scary. And there was like really huge fishes swimming under the bridge. Something funny happened towards the end of the trek. Nurmiyati said she wanted to kick the guys' balls cos she was pissed of with them. And the guys were all laughing and going "OMG"and "I cannot celebrate father's day liao" ROFL :D And Fred accidentally told me and Jie mei he didn't want his balls. HAHAHAHA :) Super fuuuneh. We went back to the campsite after trekking. Showered and we had the awesomest dinner, a BUFFET, since it was our last day in Batam. The food was seriously yummy, especially the fish and the dessert :D After dinner we had the campfire. The campfire wasn't like a campfire at all. There was no singing or screaming at all. Each group had to like put up a performance. My group put up a skit about Mrs Toh, to show our appreciation for her. Elly rocks at imitating Mrs Toh. All in all, i felt that the campfire was an epic fail cos it was damn boring. Supper and lights off. But none off us actually slept. Just stayed up talking. Thursday HOME. Bus ride to the ferry was fun. Me, Elly, Jun kai, Afiz, Zin oo, Wanling and the girls sitting in the back row were all singing songs. I don't know if Jie Mei was singing. But we were all singing songs from Barney, Hi-5, Teletubbies, Sesame Street and all the shows we used to watch as kids. I didn't know we could all still remember the lyrics to the songs especially the guys. HAHA. It was pure good fun :) I miss camp. I have never bonded with my classmates in such a way before. I got to know all of them better. Well, that's all folks. Goodnight; Happy CNY and Valentine's Day. |
